ASUS, EVGA and ZOTAC GeForce GTX 960 pictured
ASUS STRIX GeForce GTX 960 OC (STRIX-GTX960-DC2OC-2GD5)
ASUS STRIX GTX 960 is an overclocked card equipped with DirectCU II cooler. The GTX 960 will feature 0 dB technology, the same technology that is available in all STRIX graphics cards. The card itself is a rather tiny, probably best fitted for mini-ITX builds. It does look like STRIX GTX 750 Ti, except it has more display connectors.
EVGA GeForce GTX 960 Superclocked
For the fans of ACX 2.0 cooling (there are any here?) EVGA brings new Superclocked GTX 960 (and some other models no one cares about).
The GTX 960 Superclocked is powered with through single 8-pin power connector. It has a full cover base plate, two heat sinks connected to each other with three copper heat pipes. The ACX 2.0 has two 80mm 11-blade fans. I don’t know how what are the clocks yet, but I will keep you updated.
ZOTAC GeForce GTX 960
ZOTAC has four GTX 960 cards in the making. These cards only feature two designs and optional factory-overclocking. The first card is simply called ZOTAC GTX 960. You can actually get the same cooler with GTX 970, but I suppose it’s more suitable for this card anyway. ZOTAC’s GTX 970 features one 6-pin connector. The PCB is actually shorter than the dual-fan cooler itself.
The overclocked model based on this design will ship with 1177 / 1240 MHz clocks.
ZOTAC GeForce GTX 960 AMP!
Here is my favorite model so far. The dual-fan AMP! edition. More powerful cards like 970 and 980 are available with triple-fan edition of the same cooling system. The GTX 960 however, is not as demanding as GM204-powered cards, thus only 2 fans are required.
While it does look nice, it only has one 6-pin power connector, so I’m not sure if it can live up to the expectation of overclockers. It does however have a backplate, so if you’re into those kind of things, this could be the perfect card for you. The AMP! model has GPU clocks of 1266 / 1329 MHz.

Looking for a New PSU! EVGA
If you are in the market for a new PSU then you should be throwing your money at the EVGA SuperNOVA 750 or 850 G2. For bang for your buck your getting a bit of everything. The one thing I look at which is superficial is the look of a PSU and this has nailed it, Looks dam good. EVGA really knows how to make a good looking product the coating of paint, the fan grill and even the cables are superb quality on these power supplies.
Obviously by the name you can gather there are a 750w and 850w Modular Gold PSU, for a reasonable price of 750w $159 AU & 850w $199 AU. There is obviously a few other models ranging from 430w Bronze to 1600w Gold, but these are the two that are most popular PSU's.

GTX 880/870 Due OCT/NOV!
Recently there has been a lot of news surrounding Nvidia’s GTX 880 GPU based on the next generation Maxwell architecture. We found through shipping details that the card will feature a 256 bit bus as compared to 256 or 512bit. The details received only specifying a high end Maxwell GM204 housing a 256 bit wide bus. Well folks at Sweclockers.com have sent us something very interesting. They have reportedly received details regarding the release dates of Nvidia’s desktop GeForce GTX 800 series. The launch is expected to take place in the fourth quarter this year.
Nvidia GeForce GTX 880 and GTX 870 Now Expected To Arrive Sometime Between October-December
Sweclockers is reporting that Nvidia’s GeForce GTX 880 and GTX 870 are now expected to be with us somewhere around the fourth quarter this year. This places the arrival schedule for the desktop GPUs in the period between October to December. The knowledge comes to the website from partner manufacturers of Nvidia. This upcoming launch of the cards will now mark the starting of the 800 series of desktop GPUs. Of course, the GTX 800 will be based on second generation Maxwell architecture. In addition, the new model series is still to be based on the 28 nm manufacturing technology. This is because even though TSMC has begun volume production on the 20nm node for everyone, the process is facing maturation problems for high performance ASICs like the GM204, but this is expected to start from sometime next year. In addition, it has also been learnt that Nvidia has canceled the production of GM100 chips and is now focusing completely on GM200 instead. These GPUs are still using the 28nm fabrication process.
I think we can now safely conclude that 20nm GPUs will come in 2015. This series is to become the Intermediary GPUs that we have been talking about for a long time. It is possible that one or two GPUs in the Geforce 800 Series lineup are 20nm but that is a long shot and will only happen in mid-late 2015. Another thing to add is that this second generation of Maxwell Architecture is speculated to feature ARM cores which could be a potential game changer. So 28nm Maxwell is coming, possibly with ARM cores but 20nm remains as far away as ever.

Z97 Motherboard Teasers
A few of the motherboard manufactures showed off some of the upcoming Z97 platform motherboards, These boards are still only prototypes and didn't really show and specific details on features. From what we know is that Haswell is supported as well as the refresh which is in the mist. There is such things as PCIe M.2 interface and extra USB/SATA ports which will be included. While Intel’s Haswell and Haswell Refresh series are supported by both chipsets, its only the 9-Series that will support Intel’s next generation Devil’s Canyon and Broadwell processors. Devil’s Canyon which is the code-name used for Intel’s K-Series Haswell Refresh processors are targeted towards compatibility with just 9-Series while the 14nm Broadwell K-Series which feature the impressive Iris Pro graphics chip will also be supported by the same chipset series. So if you are aiming for overclocking Intel’s next generation bad boys, then a 9- Series Z97 motherboard is a must to get your hands on.
