iPhone 6 Touch ID Sensor Leaked

A new leaked image of iPhone 6 Touch ID fingerprint sensor is doing rounds around the interwebs showing the fingerprint sensor of the upcoming flagship smartphone. A number of components, including the flex cables of Power and Volume keys, were earlier leaked. Today’s leaked image appears to be a part of iPhone 6 Touch ID fingerprint sensor.iphone 6 touch id

iPhone 6 Touch ID scanner:

This iPhone 6 Touch ID fingerprint scanner leaked image shows a side by side comparison of the current gen Touch ID of the iPhone 5s and the upcoming scanner of the iPhone 6 that is expected to be released in September this fall. While the iPhone 6 Touch ID fingerprint scanner largely looked similar to the current version, there is a minor difference as screw holes seem to be relocated on the metal housing of the smartphone.
Earlier, we saw some reports that Apple’s manufacturing partner, TSMC, had started shipping the first batch of the Touch ID sensors for the iPhone 6, iPad Air 2, and the iPad Mini Retina. However, it cannot be confirmed if these iPhone 6 Touch ID scanner component images are actually legitimate considering the report itself notes that the leaked components could very well be Chinese copies. iphone 6 touch id
Apple’s next-gen iPhone is expected to be launched in two variants of larger display sizes: a 4.7-inch iPhone 6 and another 5.5-inch iPhone 6 sapphire display phone. While the former too is expected to be made with sapphire, some reports suggested that Apple might not introduce both the smartphones with scratch-resistant, expensive glass. Leaks have also indicated that the bigger, 5.5-inch phone will be announced later in the year with more premium specs hitting the Android phablet market dominated by LG G3 and Samsung Galaxy Note.
iPhone 6 will have a focus on fitness apps powered by iOS 8; an A8 processor, a better camera and a curved design that has been shared by various rear shell panel images of the smartphone.
