AMD “Putting The Finishing Touches” on Radeon 300 Series

AMD has announced via a reply to a fan on Facebook that the company is “putting the finishing touches” on the Radeon 300 series. This coincides with earlier reports which claimed that AMD has allegedly completed the certification process for a new graphics board for the company’s upcoming Fiji XT GPU.
AMD R9 390XThe fact that the new AMD Radeon R 300 series may be coming fairly soon would explain why AMD’s add-in board partners (AIBs) are pinning their hopes on the new graphics cards for a rebound in the upcoming months. It’s been 16 months since the last Radeon R 200 series graphics card were officially introduced at the GPU14 event which took place in Hawaii on September 25th, 2013. A full Radeon series graphics refresh would then make perfect sense to revitalize and reignite competition in this popular market segment for AMD.

Dr. Lisa Su, AMD’s CEO had announced last month that the company is planning to roll-out a graphics refresh in the second quarter of this year. We’re only a month away from the first month of the second quarter and we’re already seeing a lot of reports popping up about the R9 300 series.
Some online retailers went to as far as to actually list R9 390X, 380X and 370X graphics cards on their websites just a week ago. A lot of reports have surfaced of various AMD GPUs which should be featured in the 300 series.
These include AMD’s upcoming Fiji XT GPU which will reportedly feature a cutting edge stacked memory technology co developed by AMD and SK Hynix called HBM. The new memory standard promises to be significantly more power efficient than traditional GDDR5 and up to 9 times faster.  Leaked specifications for the GPU indicate that it will feature 4096 GCN stream processors and a 4096bit wide-IO memory interface. Fiji XT is also rumored to be the first ever single GPU to come with liquid cooling as standard.

In addition to Fiji XT we’ve also heard whispers of AMD working on a faster version of the Hawaii GPU inside AMD’s R9 295X2, 290X and 290 cards. And finally there’s a new GPU code named Trinidad which will reportedly replace AMD’s R9 270 series in the $200 price point which is rumored to be coming within the next couple of months.
The updated GCN 1.2 architecture in the new R 300 series is rumored feature tiled resources. A technology that’s well known and established in the mobile GPU market. The feature enables significant improvements in reducing both power consumption and memory utilization.

Alleged Geforce GTX ‘Titan X’ Specs and Benches Leak Out – SiSoft Sandra Does it Again

Something pretty interesting popped up on the inter-webs recently. Many forums, from Overclock.net, to Notebookreview.com have started reporting on an enigmatic SiSoft Sandra benchmark that appeared approximately 24 hours back. On casual inspection the bench appears to be a GM200 test run. Needless to say, this is as unreliable as unreliable gets, so please take a good look at the little tag at the top.nvidia_geforce_gtx_titanz_sli

Before we begin, let me make something clear, I do not know what the GM200 GPU will be called. It could be the GTX 980 Ti, It could be Titan II/X or any other variation thereof. It should be pretty clear that the name I have used above is just a placeholder since I can’t really keep on calling it ‘the-GPU-with-GM200-inside’. Basically, this particular leak stems from SiSoft Sandra’s benchmark database (something on which I will be keeping a close eye from now on) just like the massive AMD Carrizo Leak a few days back. Whoever, conducted the bench made sure to hide most of the ID Codes and identifying information but some specs and the Nvidia logo were left out, perhaps deliberately. It also raises the question whether the results are spoofed. Usually faking synthetic benchmarks is near impossible, but I have no personal experience with SiSoft so I won’t comment further.GM200 3072 CUDA Cores
If the benchmark is truly of the next Maxwell Flagship, then we are looking at a CUDA Core count of 3072 in 24 SMMs. Since there are 24 Streaming Maxwell Processors and each SMM has 8 TMUs to it, I can further deduce that this card has 192 TMUs.  You can expect 96 ROPs to go along with it. A slightly odd number, but nothing to really set alarm bells ringing. It features 3MB of L2 cache, 384 bit bus width and perhaps most surprisingly, 12GB vRam coupled with a low 6GHZ frequency. As forum members have pointed out, this is usually indicative of a professional GPU. The GPU does feature the trademark high clocks of the Maxwell architecture, which are well above the 1.1Ghz mark when boosting but has a suspiciously large amount of video buffer and a surprisingly low memory clock as I mentioned before. Unless Nvidia is planning to market an 8K Ready Geforce (with an absolutely killer price tag) this is almost certainly a professional GPU, that is, if this leak is legit. Ofcourse, this doesn’t really matter to us, since the chip remains the same, regardless of the branding. That’s all and looks like the new GPU leak season is starting again folks, so stay tuned.

New HTC Phone to Sport TWO 13-Megapixel Shooters – Releasing on October 8

Reports are pouring in about a new device from HTC called HTC Eye also known as HTC Desire Eye. The Eye part is possibly given to the smartphone due to its camera feature. HTC Eye is eager to become the first ever smartphone which will sport two 13-megapixel cameras. Yep, both the primary and the front camera sensors will be equally competent to give out the best selfie phone one can ask for!htc eye

While the details are a little obscure about the upcoming HTC phone, initial rumors have detailed some bits about the HTC Eye expected specs. If rumors are to be believed, the selfie phone will be a 5.2-inch Full HD smartphone powered by a Snapdragon 801. Now, as you can see that these specs are quite high-end normally expected from the flagship. HTC has usually kept the Desire lineup pretty much in the mid range. However, it is not the high-end specs that are eye-catching in this Eye, it is the presence of two mega camera sensors in the phone. According to the sources, HTC Eye will sport two 13-megapixel camera. The front camera will sport a dual LED flash just like the primary shooter. The front will also get wide aperture of f 2.0 lens making it a perfect device for selfiegraphy. It rarely happens that we hear about odd things happening with mainstream devices, but perhaps the ongoing selfie craze justifies a little oddness from the manufacturershtc desire eye
Upleaks has also shared the images of the device which shows quite a simple Desire-sort of look with plastic build. HTC Eye will be offered in two colors and is expected to be launched on October 8 at the HTC Double Exposure event. Does the thought of having two 13-megapixel cameras tingle you a bit? Well, it would certainly make the selfie-lovers happy.

As you’ve probably guessed from the names, each version will either feature a single 120mm radiator, a dual 120mm (240mm) radiator or a triple 120mm (360mm) radiator.
These new coolers have some very intriguing set of features. Starting with the pump, DEEPCOOL is utilizing a new patented approach it calls SS (Separated Section). Which divides the pump and the cold plate into two separate blocks. These blocks are connected using a transparent tube which gives crystal clear viability to the dynamics of coolant flow inside.
This is a very interesting approach that differs from the pump + reservoir + CPU block combo utilized by Cooler Master or the reservoir + radiator combo that Asetek uses.
Not only is this a unique functional design but it also gives the unit a very unique aesthetic as well. The combination of the transparent tube that connects the cold plate to the pump and the red LED lighting creates what DEEPCOOL describes as a “Nuclear Reactor” look.

DEEPCOOL includes 120mm PWM fans which operate between 600-2200 RPM depending on the CPU load and amount of heat produced. Ensuring the best mix of cooling performance and quiet operation.
The fans also feature a unique detachable fan impeller design. This allows you to take off the fan blades, then clean them off with much more more convenience and thoroughness and re-attach them right back.
Installation brackets are compatible with all Intel and AMD CPUs including Intel’s latest on the LGA2011-V3 socket.

Intel Skylake Could Feature Dual DDR3/DDR4 Memory Support with Double IMCs

[Not Confirmed] An interesting point raised by the Italian publication Bitsandchips.it, stated that Intel has tucked away a very big hint pertaining to memory support in its IDF14 slide deck. Upon closer inspection the hint is about DDR3 and DDR4 support at the same time probably utilizing a Dual-IMC design . The market is now moving toward DDR4 but its prices remain quite high, so it might be possible that Intel will introduce the above-mentioned tech to hasten the transition.Intel Broadwell and Skylake Platform

Dual-IMC with DDR3 and DDR4 Support Could Grace Skylake Processors – Hints IDF14 Slides

As we told you a long time ago and as Intel later confirmed in IDF14, Skylake-S is coming in 2H 2015, most probably July. These will be quad cores and will come in i5 and i7 variants with 4 and 8 threads respectively. Skylake will of course also arrive on mobile platforms and 2-in 1 devices before the desktop release. If you notice the slide deck below, specifically the one on the right, you will notice that Intel mentions “DDR3 and DDR4″ in the “future” section of the Mainstream segment. Now Intel has noted down Haswell Micro-architecture, so its near future is Broadwell and Skylake-S.
So what does ‘DDR3 and DDR4′ support for the future generations of Intel Haswell mean? Well, one option could be offering some SKUs with DDR3 and other with DDR4, but that would be awfully inconvenient from a marketing and practical point of view. Not only would that discourage growth (DDR3 users will simply buy the DDR3 variant and stick with it) but that will result in disparity between similar products: not an ideal scenario.No, a far easier option would be to introduce dual memory support using a Double IMC (Integrated Memory Circuit) on the processors. A question that comes to mind is whether Broadwell-k will benefit from Double-IMCs as well, or will the rift between the high end and mainstream will grow ever larger.
Intel believes that the pricing of DDR4 will remain high; as will the demand of Skylake processors. Migration to DDR4 should be encouraged but you can’t leave the majority of your user base behind. The answer to this dilemma lies in the company introducing Skylake with both DDR3 and DDR4 support. Intel will favor the use of DDR4 memory but if this is correct than users will not need to be worry about buying new RAMs and instead be able to focus on the new micro-architecture and step up when they are ready. DDR4 not only offers faster RAM memory  with double the density but also offers a greatly lowered electrical foot print with reduced power requirements. DDR4 RAM can be clocked upto 3200Mhz and requires 1.2V of juice to run. CAS latency will vary from 9 to 24 (DDR3 wad 5-14) while density increases from 4GB at 8 banks to 8GB at 16 banks.

AMD’s Next Generation GCN Based Graphics Card Might Feature Modified Version of Radeon R9 295X2 Hydra Cooling Solution

AMD’s GCN core architecture has spanned the industry for a good three years and the latest revision, known as the Volcanic islands was launched last year during October. AMD is gradually putting new updates in their cards lineup with the new Tonga based Radeon R9 285 and the flagship Radeon R9 295X2 but it seems like we will be looking at a major update from AMD during the next couple of months.AMD Radeon R9 390X

AMD’s Next Generation GCN Based Graphics Card Might Feature Modified Hydra Cooling Solution

There are two reasons to believe this, one being the fact that a mysterious and new cooling solution just ended up on Baidu Chinese forums (spotted by Videocardz) and the second is AMD themselves who have hinted to a major launch related to graphics cards during the next two months. In October last year, AMD announced their GPU14 event where they showcased and announced their current Radeon R9 and Radeon R7 series cards that feature an updated GCN core architecture. While the bulk of the graphics cards were based on an older core architecture (Southern Islands; Tahiti/Pitcairn/Cape Verde) the lineup also introduced some new parts such as the flagship Hawaii, performance oriented Tonga, budget level Bonaire and entry level Oland chips. It will be a year since AMD has introduced most of their lineup next month and will probably be the best time for AMD to offer new replacements.
But there are two speculations, whether AMD will bring up a new naming scheme for the cards or stick to the current naming. That’s the one thing we should focus on since the specifications available at the moment are very sparse since industry’s focus is shifted towards NVIDIA and their latest Maxwell cards. This could also be a main factor which drives the need for a new lineup, as everyone knows, Maxwell is a new GPU core and the preliminary data shows GM204 to be much more efficient then anything on the market matching the speeds and performance of GeForce GTX 780 Ti and even out performing it by a good margin from the final results seen. Now the question is whether AMD’s new lineup is focused to tackle Maxwell or its more of a refresh of the current Radeon R9 200 and Radeon R7 200 series cards.
First, let’s talk about the cooling scheme. I did speculate a while ago that the Radeon R9 295X2’s cooler was a great design and could be toned down to Hawaii. Looks like AMD is just doing that and learnt from NVIDIA. You may remember the famous GeForce GTX 690 cooler (first of its kind) which was toned down for the GeForce 700 series cards and we even saw a bulkier version of that cooler on the GeForce GTX Titan Z. AMD has learnt that sometimes not focusing on the reference designs will hurt you back and AMD will now offer new cards which will start to feature a hybrid and modified version of their high-end Hydra cooler. The design and theme is similar to the Radeon R9 295X2, the only difference is the positing of the cooler and a shorter length which is aimed towards single GPU cards. The fan on the Radeon R9 295X2 was placed in the center to regulate air to both fans but since the new cooler is focused for single chip designs, we are looking at the position moved to the back and it also looks like AMD will go with a blower design for this card. One good thing about Hydra is that its a hybrid cooling solution. The card may or may not ship with a OEM “ASETEK” made 120mm AIO radiator and pump which will deliver better thermals to the card compared to normal cooling solutions. This model could just be a prototype for future generation of GCN cards and we really don’t want to start talking about specifications this early. There are several rumored specifications lying around the web but I won’t take them with much credibility unless there’s a decent explanation behind the numbers.
So the main question of the day, is this the Radeon R9 300 series or the Radeon R9 200 series? To be honest, I don’t really know. Some point out to Radeon R9 390X and some point out to the much fabled Radeon R9 295X but I am not in the position to either deny them or confirm these codenames for the new card. One thing I know is that AMD only switched to Radeon R9 200 series after the HD 7990 launched in 1H 2013 after a long delay. There was no  new card in the HD 7000 series after that. The Radeon R9 295X2 is also the last flagship card to launch in the lineup but AMD has updated their entry level side with a few cards and the performance sector with the latest Radeon R9 285 Tonga GPU. To rebrand it this early may make little sense but then again we are talking about a launch aimed around Q4 2014. At the end of the day, there’s so much happening in the graphics industry that it’s getting interesting day by day. If AMD does have new high-end chips ready to tackle Maxwell then that’s a good thing since competition will drive prices down.AMD Radeon R9 295X2_Presentation_Dimensions

Intel Confirms Full Hardware-Level DirectX12 On Skylake-S iGPU

A few days ago I wrote about a leak which stated that Skylake-S will have DX12 support. However, we were not sure whether it was just DX12 API that was supported or the full hardware level feature set. As it turns out, it is the latter as Intel has officially confirmed the same in its IDF 14 keynote. This would also make the upcoming Intel processors the first chips to have confirmed full DX12 support.Intel Broadwell and Skylake Platform

DirectX 12 Hardware-Level Feature Set Will be Supported by Intel Skylake Processors

DX12 needs no introduction, thanks to social media and online publications it is one of the most eagerly anticipated APIs after Mantle. However, even though we have seen demos, tech charts and more, we have yet to see a hardware chip that supports the ‘Feature Level 12_0′ set. Many thought that the upcoming GPUs from Nvidia and Maxwell would be the first to do so, but we still have a few days to go before release and Intel has already swooped in and taken this particular honor.

Intel’s Skylake-S processors are one of the first confirmed  chips to support the full and uncut DirectX 12. I am 90% sure that Nvidia Maxwell will support the full feature set too, but until its confirmed, it doesn’t count. You will ofcourse be seeing the DirectX12 tag on a lot of devices  but that only indicates support for DX12 API. The actual Direct3D Feature Level 12_0 is what we are after. GPUs/Devices which do not have hardware-level support of DX12 will have Feature Level 11_0, Feature Level 11_1 and Feature Level 11_2 at most. If you take a look at the slide shared by Intel on IDF14 above you will notice that Intel mentions “Next Generation Intel Core Processors” which means Skylake and beyond. It also mentions “Next Gen 14nm Intel Processor for tablets.
Which is something we have suspected for quite some time now. Recall the DX12 demo at SIGGRAPH that showed a massive 60% boost for mobile devices. Since a Mobile Platform is always working with power and thermal constraints, both the CPU and GPU share a TDP Budget if you may, so any lack of power consumption by one can either be utilized in a zero sum or result in a decreased TDP rate. This makes a low level API of critical import to the mobile sector. Most importantly however, this was a very big hint to the press that Microsoft is going to be shaping DX12 for the tablet sector as well. There wasn’t a lot of technical information in this update, but it does tell us that Microsoft seems to have learned from the debacle that was DX10 and is trying to push DX12 non-exclusively into everything and anything it can manage. The OS however, is another story altogether and I won’t be surprised if DX12 is Win 9 only.

Rockstar’s GTA V Build Logs Leak Out – PC Version Has Been In Development Since 2012

Build Log leaks are quickly becoming a common phenomenon in the gaming scene but this iteration of GTA V PC build-log-leak doesn’t tell us much about the game itself but rather an interesting facet of its development. Turns out that the PC Version of the massive budget game has been in development since 2012 at the very least.GTA V PC

Rockstar appears to have been anticipating the build logs, and maybe even the game, leaking out, because they have added a cute little preamble requesting PC Users to not get their hands on the build.  They were right about the leak but were slightly off on the time frame; because leak it did, after 2 years. ‘GTA V PC’ is releasing quite soon and any leaks at this point are nothing more than recycling and rumors. However, this is quite an interesting insight in the development process of GTA. As most of you would no doubt be aware, games are created on Desktops and then compiled for consoles or ported to consoles after the compilation for PC. Since they had a PC build so early in their development cycle, it indicates that this is a norm and they might do it every time for game. This doesn’t change much of course, and wont give you any GTA V PC equivalent of some AAA titles but it is still interesting to know that after all that suspense Rockstar put us through, GTA V for PC  was always bound to come. Armed with this knowledge I can patiently wait the next mind bogglingly expensive Take-Two AAA Title.

ASUS X99 ‘OC Socket’ Motherboard Short Circuits – Is AIB Socket Modification Safe?

You might remember that a couple of days ago, I did a short write up on the ASUS ‘OC Socket’ in which I detailed this particular LGA 2011 socket (which isn’t LGA 2011 at all). Well, in the same ed, I mentioned that the ASUS ‘OC Socket’ will most probably be unstable at launch. Sadly however, Nathan over at Legit Reviewsdidn’t read my write up (just kidding) because his ASUS X99 Deluxe short circuited.

The OC Socket: Impressive Yes, But Probably A Bit Unstable At Launch

For those of you who arent aware the ASUS OC Socket is a proprietary socket which has more than 2011 pins. Which means that the socket isn’t technically LGA 2011-3, rather compatible with 2011-3. The correct nomenclature would be 2011 + the number of pins ASUS has added. The extra pins allow ASUS to bypass FIVR restrictions that Intel has in place (pay very close attention to this part) along with DDR4 voltage regulation among other things. These things do ofcourse allow for a more stable and higher overclock, but like I mentioned and emphasized many times, it was highly probable that the first batch would have serious bugs and issues. My skepticism arose from the fact that ASUS has basically invented a new socket, and done this by reverse engineering (assuming Intel wasn’t involved in the making of the OC Socket) alone, since the voltage lines are hidden from AIBs since recent times.
Now the ASUS X99 Deluxe motherboard that got fried also had the OC socket and the exact components that were fried seem to confirm my suspicion. Quoting Nathan, “clearly it was a failure of CPU voltage regulation system and one of the eight 60 Amp phases (Dr. MOS IOR 3550M mosfets) has appeared to fail…. the failed component in question is part of the PQ1004, which is part of the VCCIN or basically the processor input voltage.” We already know that the OC Socket works by accessing the voltage lines and bypassing the FIVR on Haswell-E and we also know that the component that got fried on the ASUS X99 Deluxe was related to CPU voltage. Coincidence? Improbable. To be fair to ASUS there exists an alternative explanation since Michael over at Phoronix.com had a similar experience. His X99 Mobo short circuited too, albeit at a different component. This means there is no way anyone can conclusively pinpoint this matter on the OC Socket. This really is a brilliant innovation, and I hope this goes on to become a trend setter. However, ASUS’ warranty should cover any damages that arise from using experimental sockets such as the OC Socket.

The year seems to be almost ending at least in terms of smartphones as we have seen everything – except for the good old iPhone. 2014 promises to not give us any “good old iPhone” though as Apple is going big and wild with larger screen size and definitely much more. With September 9 being the holy date for “something new” we can’t help sharing some awesome looking iPhone 6 images with iWatch thrown in for good measures too. While the recent reports have indicated that iWatch may not be released this month, but considering a truckload of previous reports, we hope that Apple does finally launch its muchly-awaited smartwatch. As the launch dates of mega smartphones come near, we start looking at a few realistically designed renders and we have finally got one for the iPhone 6. The crazily-popular designer, Martin Hajek, has done an amazing job at creating these renders of iPhone 6 and iWatch. While the internet did have a lot of specs for iPhone 6, it’s almost void for iWatch. However, Martin’s iWatch design looks quite a possibility!
iWatch definitely looks a lot like iPod which is coherent with claims that Apple will stop producing iPod after it launches the smartwatch line. Apple is officially unveiling its next gen flagship smartphone on September 9. iPhone 6 is expected to showcase a larger, 4.7-inch display with improved camera and sensors. Another variant hitting 5.5-inches is also expected to see a later launch. While details about iWatch are scarce, it is rumored that Apple will reveal its first smartwatch in more than two variants possibly launching in different sizes and forms to match varied demands. iPhone 6 will be powered by iOS 8.

An In Depth Analysis Of The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 – And How It Dwarfs The iPhone 5S

With Samsung having launched the Galaxy Note 4, the immediate question on all of our minds is that how well does the device stack against all the current flagship devices out there. With a 2.5 GHz Snapdragon 805 or the 1.3GHz Octa Core Exynoss 5433, the Note 4 is all set to dominate any and all current flagships out there.
However, we won’t be satisfied, and neither should you be without an in depth look at how the Galaxy Note 4 stands in comparison to other device. For the purpose of this review, we have chosen Apple’s current flagship, the iPhone 5S to see how well the two fare off against each other.
Now before you start criticizing us that the iPhone 5S is no match for Samsung’s latest beast, you should know that the purpose of this review is simply to get a better understanding of how the Galaxy Note 4 works and what improvements it makes and has over Apple’s current flagship. So hold your horses, grab some popcorn, and enjoy.

Design:

With Samsung living up to it’s earlier promise of offering two metal devices this year, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 has a full aluminum chassis. The iPhone 5S on the other hand, is a single metal body with no other materials present on the device. The Galaxy Note 4 on the other hand has a leather back which houses the battery and other components.
Coming towards the dimensions of both the flagships, the Galaxy Note 4 is obviously larger than the iPhone 5S given the different purposes and functionality intended for both the devices. The dimensions of the Galaxy Note 4 are 53.5 x 78.6 x 8.5mm, which as evident, do not facilitate single handed use. However that is one function that most users looking for the Galaxy Note 4 won’t worry about.
Coming towards the iPhone 5S, Apple’s present flagship measures 123.8 x 58.6 x 7.6 mm which is set in mind keeping the requirements of a smartphone and single handed use. As evident due to it’s larger screen size, the Galaxy Note 4 weighs more than the iPhone 5S. The weight of the Galaxy Note 4 is 176 grams compared to 112 grams on the iPhone 5S.
Sensor wise, the Galaxy Note 4 has a slew of sensor enough to satisfy any sensor loving individual’s every need. The iPhone 5S however does not stay far behind with all the usual light, gyro and motion co-processors present on the device. Both the devices also now possess a fingerprint sensor for unlocking and other purposes. Waterproofing however is one place where Samsung has the clear edge over the iPhone.

Processing Power:

The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is a processing beast. And we do not say that lightly. Either of the Snapdragon 805 or the Octa core Exynoss 5433 are processing giants and give the Note 4 clear advantage over all the other flaghsips out there when it comes to running performance intensive games and applications.
This is of course in line with Samsung’s tradition of making sure it’s devices come with top hardware and performance specs suited to any and all needs. The 4 GB RAM on the Note 4 further pushes the boundaries of mobile processing further.
How well does the iPhone 5S stack up to this? Well Apple’s 64 bit A7 processor with a maximum frequency of 1.4 GHz does sound dwarfed when compared to the 32-bit 805 or the Exynoss powerhouse the Galaxy Note 4 has in stock.
However, Apple’s strength always has been OS optimization which ensures that the existing specifications on the processor are more efficiently utilized. It still has the potential to significantly match, if not top out the Galaxy Note 4, yet of course, the latter still remains the powerhouse in this category.

Display:

Samsung has always boasted about it’s Super AMOLED display in all of it’s flagship and other devices. The display specifications on the Galaxy Note 4 have enough high numbers to put anyone to shame. With a staggering pixel density of 515 ppi, the Galaxy Note 4 ensures that the display is razor sharp enough to put diamond cutters to shame.
This coupled with the 5.7 inch screen size QHD-Super Amoled display provides any Galaxy Note 4 lover enough argument points to last a lifetime. Apple’s iPhone 5S on the other hand has a consistent resolution of 326 ppi, which is aimed towards maximizing user interaction with the device.

Camera(s):

When coming towards camera resolution, the Galaxy Note 4 is once again in the clear lead. With a rear camera resolution of 16 MP, optical image stabilization, and ISOCELL, the Galaxy Note 4 will ensure that you get all the high quality on your photos as you desire. ISOCELL promises better image quality in terms of more light capture, improved sharpness, wider dynamic range and overall improved image accuracy.
With a resolution half of the Note 4 when it comes to the rear camera, clearly the iPhone 5S looses this one as well. While both the devices feature 1080p video recording, the Galaxy Note 4 also has 4K video enabled. For all the selfie lovers out there, the 3.7 front camera on the Note 4 won’t disappoint you either.

Conclusion?

Well, it really should be clear by now who is the winner. But like mentioned earlier, the purpose here isn’t to dwarf the iPhone 5S, but rather to understand how the Galaxy Note 4 works and how Samsung has paid attention to all the areas of a device’s performance.
In all basic areas of a device’s performance, the Galaxy Note 4 has improved. Processing power, RAM and display all set a top bar which any manufacturer must strive hard to achieve. Camera and display promise a razor sharp display and amazing detail and sharpness. So all in all, the Galaxy Note 4 lives up to it’s hype of being the most anticipated tablet of the year. Now let’s wait for Apple’s reply.
